What it says
Petersen's money went into the primary. He raised $127k before May 12 and came out of it with $1,192. Evnen spent $382k by mid-June and still lost. Since then he has raised less than half what Slattery has.
Slattery's campaign started late and leans on one PAC. She raised under $16k from January through May. Democracy Nebraska's $40k is 22% of everything she has raised, and $10k of it came on Oct 26.
Petersen is partly self-funded. About a third of his money is his own: $36.8k in loans, $23.4k in expenses he paid himself (fuel, hotels, ads, software), and $11.1k in cash.
Each party helps differently. The Nebraska Democratic Party gives Slattery in-kind work worth $17.7k: coordinated mail, postage, digital ads and the voter file. Petersen's campaign pays the GOP: $32,450 to NEGOP for mail and $16,800 to the Nebraska Republican Party for postage and event tickets.
Neither campaign is on TV in a big way. Slattery has one $10k Gray Television buy. Petersen has $14.1k in radio through Lincoln Marketing Group. Both campaigns are mostly signs, mail, texting and travel.
